This year, our retreats will be preached by Fr Augustine Vallooran VC from India. Father Vallooran was born in 1949 in Kerala, India. He completed his priestly studies at the Papal Seminary, Pune, India and was ordained a priest of the Vincentian Congregation on 26 October 1974. He holds a Master’s degree in Theology from the Pontifical Athenaeum in Pune, India and a doctorate in philosophy from the Gregorian University, Rome.
He has been Professor of Philosophy at St Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Alwaye, Kerala and Director of the English, Konkani, Kannada and Hindi sections of the Divine Retreat Centre, Muringoor, Kerala, India since 1993 where he is also Associate Director.
He is co-Chairman of the Jeevan Telecasting Corporation and Director of the Jeevan Television Ministry. He is also a member of the National Catholic Charismatic Services in India.
Fr. Augustine will be accompanied by a couple, Glen and Teresa La Rive, who are in the music ministry at the Divine Retreat Centre in Potta.
